CLINICAL SERVICES

Our clinicians emphasize a collaborative approach between the client, therapist, parents (as applicable), and collateral professionals. Therapists collaborate with schools, physicians, psychiatrists, and other involved professionals across the Chicagoland area in order maximize support and provide case coordination toward clients’ progress and achievement of goals.

Individual Therapy
Gold Counseling Services offers individual therapy to school-age children, adolescents, young adults and adults for a range of issues. Your therapist will collaborate with you to determine the focus for therapy and ways to help you navigate your experience, enhance coping skills, and make progress toward your goals. Through the use of the therapeutic relationship, a combination of treatment approaches and interventions may be used that are appropriate for the specific needs and age of each individual.

Couples Therapy
Couples often experience challenges that impact their relationship over time. Couples therapy is offered to help couples improve communication skills, develop healthy ways of managing conflict, manage emotions effectively, and strengthen their connection.

Family Therapy
Family Therapy is helpful to improve communication patterns, address conflicts or stress, set boundaries, and support families through transitions and loss.  Your therapist will work with you to determine if family therapy would be helpful and which family members are able and willing to participate.

Parent Consultation
Parents often have questions or may struggle to understand their child’s behavior and know how to manage/help them. Therapists work collaboratively with parents to understand their child’s developmental issues and address parents’ concerns and questions. The nature and frequency of parent consultation varies depending on the age of the child and the presenting challenges.

Telehealth Services
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are able to offer telehealth therapy services using a secure audio/video platform or phone sessions. These sessions should be covered by your insurance plan’s out of network benefits in the same way as in person sessions.
